Campaign in Every Size

Digital banner ads for Kenneth Cole’s Holiday Campaign

2015

As a design intern at Kenneth Cole Productions, I supported the creative team in producing a full suite of digital banner ads for the brand’s holiday campaign. These ads were used across multiple platforms, each resized and formatted to meet the technical specs and visual goals of their respective placements.

The Challenge
The team needed a consistent, on-brand ad experience across a wide range of platforms and devices. That meant adapting the campaign’s visual language — including photography, type, and messaging — to multiple ad sizes and formats, without losing cohesion or clarity. My role was to help make that happen quickly and cleanly.

My Role & What I Created
I worked alongside the design team to:

  • Resize and reformat digital banner ads for web placements, email campaigns, and social media.

  • Apply and maintain the brand’s typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy across all versions.

  • Ensure proper export specs for each ad variation, double-checking pixel dimensions and file weight for performance.

  • Assist with last-minute revisions and internal reviews with a quick turnaround.

Tools Used

  • Adobe Photoshop (ad design, retouching)

  • Adobe InDesign (layout and export formatting)

The Outcome
The final banner suite ran across various paid and owned channels, supporting Kenneth Cole’s seasonal campaign. The assets maintained brand integrity across all formats while meeting digital specs, helping the team deliver a polished campaign on time and across platforms.

Design Note
This project gave me a deep appreciation for design precision. The alignment of every pixel matters when you're working across formats. It was rewarding to contribute to something at scale and to know that I was helping maintain a strong, cohesive brand presence in a fast-paced retail environment.
